Mission Statement

The Town Administrator is appointed by the Board of Selectmen and is responsible for handling the day-to-day administrative affairs of the Town and for implementing the policies set forth by the Board. In order to ensure that Town resources are utilized in the most efficient and effective manner, the Administrator strives for a high degree of coordination, communication, and cooperation between all Boards, Committees, and Departments of the Town.

The Town Administrator prepares for and coordinates the Annual and Special Town Meetings and coordinates with the Finance Committee and Capital Planning Committee in the preparation of the annual budget and capital program for Town Meeting. Additionally, the Town Administrator serves as the chief procurement officer responsible for the purchase of all supplies, materials, equipment and services for the Town.
