First Day Hike

Come begin your first day of 2018 with a scenic hike to the overlook at Briar Hill Conservation Area. This 1.5-mile trail, which was once a wood road begins in a young hardwood forest, crosses Cold Brook and climbs through hemlock, oak and hickory stands to a vista overlooking the northern parts of Williamsburg. All are welcome.

 

When: Monday, January 1st at 10:00 am

Where: Park and meet at the trailhead on Briar Hill Road

Directions: Turn right onto Old Goshen Road from MA-9, 1.1 mi. west of Williamsburg Village. Continue for 0.4 mi. Stay right at the “Y” intersection with Old Goshen Road onto Hemenway Road. Continue 0.7 mi from the “Y” then bear left onto Briar Hill Road. Continue 1.6 mi. Kiosk and parking area will be on the right.
