The Town of Williamsburg, Massachusetts is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Center Director.  The Director, working 28 hours, four days a week, is responsible for planning, developing and managing the day-to-day operation of the Williamsburg Senior Center, its services to the community, and its staff and volunteers. Working with the Council on Aging Advisory Board, the Director implements the mission of the Council on Aging which is to effectively serve aging community members and their families by connecting them to services and other resources that support aging in place. The Director administers the budget, seeks funds and develops programming that serves people over 60 and their caregivers, educates the community, builds bridges within the community and provides opportunities for cultural and intergenerational experiences.  The Senior Center Director reports to the Board of Selectmen.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field with a minimum of three years of related work experience with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility; experience with a community volunteer advisory board; ability to navigate multiple agendas and receive feedback; a working familiarity with state and local laws, practices and regulations that impact seniors; demonstrated written and oral communication skills including program development and grant writing experience; strong organizational skills and computer skills, experience with “My Senior Center” preferred; flexible management style for a team environment;  ability to work in a busy / fast paced environment and office with moderate noise level.
