HOW DO I REGISTER TO VOTE?
You must be 18 years old and a U.S. citizen.
You can register in person at the Clerk’s office, by mail or at the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
You will receive verification by mail after registering.
WHAT ARE THE POLLING HOURS?
All State and Federal Elections: Polling Hours are 7 AM-8 PM
All Town Elections: Polling Hours are 10 AM-7 PM
WHEN IS THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING AND TOWN ELECTION HELD?
The Annual Town Election is held the first Monday in May of each year. The polls are open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voting will remain at the Town Offices in Haydenville.
The Annual Town Meeting is held the first Monday in June. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and is held at the Ann T. Dunphy School in the gymnasium. The school is located at 1 Petticoat Hill Road in Williamsburg. NOTE: Annual Town Meeting will resume at the Anne T. Dunphy School. SPECIAL TOWN MEETINGS MAY BE HELD AT THE TOWN OFFICES.
Special Town Meetings are held periodically during the year. SPECIAL TOWN MEETINGS MAY BE HELD AT THE TOWN OFFICES.
Warrants for Town Meetings and Elections are posted in the following places: Town Hall, Haydenville and Williamsburg Post Offices, Meekins Library, Williamsburg Pharmacy Bulletin Board, Florence Savings Bank and the Bank in Haydenville.

All voting is conducted at the Williamsburg Town Offices, 141 Main Street, Haydenville until further notice.
There is only 1 precinct.

Why do I have to return the local census? Nothing’s changed from last year!
Even if nothing has changed in your household since last year, we still need to know you live in town—especially if you are a voter! Massachusetts state law requires that each community conduct an annual census to update their voter’s lists and to provide accurate information for the Jury Commissioner. The census information is also used by other city agencies, including the School Department. From the census we are required by state law to publish a “street listing”. Only certain people (certain public safety officials, etc.) are exempt from appearing in the street listing.
Do I Need a Permit to Have a Tag Sale?
It is required to obtain a tag sale permit if you plan on having a yard, barn or tag sale. The permit is issued through the Town Clerk’s office during her regularly scheduled hours. The cost of the permit is $5.00 per day or $10.00 for a weekend which includes a long weekend.
