M I N U T E S
October 19, 2005
Present: W. Sayre, R. Buchele, L. Warriner, Kit Smith and Karen Karowski
Meeting was called to order at 7:08 p.m.
Buchele and Smith have not been sworn in at this time and Karowski is non-voting member as Treasurer. Therefore there is no quorum for voting.
The partial collapse of the Old Town Hall ceiling was discussed and the need for immediate repairs. This issue has been brought before the Finance Committee according to Smith and Buchele. Discussion of the Select Board’s ability to take a capital expenditure to the upcoming special town meeting without first submitting request to the Capital Planning Committee.
Sayre volunteered to write the Select Board and remind them that if they were going to bypass the CPC, a waiver needed to be issued and the CPC informed.
Discussion of the pending article on the warrant for the special town meeting to purchase land for $25,000 behind the Town Hall in Haydenville.
Forms were reviewed to be distributed for the ’07 fiscal year.
The next meeting will be held on 11/9/05.
